ALEXIS TAYLOR (LIVE)
Alexis Taylor is best known as the lead vocalist, keyboardist, guitarist and founding member of Grammy and Mercury Prize nominated electro-pop group Hot Chip. He has also released several solo albums since 2008, and collaborated with the likes of New Order, Robert Wyatt, Jennifer Herrema, Scritti Politti, Peter Gabriel and the BBC Concert Orchestra, and has also scored campaigns with Nike and Converse, with Hot Chip member Joe Goddard. At SHAKE THE HIGH ROAD, he’ll be performing a magical set which will sound absolutely spectacular in the church.

TOM VR
Coming for a sure-to-be-legendary live set in the church, Tom VR is an artist, producer, DJ, composer, and remixer, whose sound lives between atmospheric textural house, euphoric techno, and experimental soundscapes all mixed with his unique approach to pop. Per Resident Advisor, Tom VR “has a knack for crafting genre-bending electronic dance music that glistens and flutters like the work of a young Kieran Hebden [Four Tet].” The nod is especially apt given recent DJ attention from Hebden himself, along with the likes of Midland, Ben UFO, Avalon Emerson, Bicep, and Jamie xx, to name a few. In the ever-evolving kaleidoscope of music, Tom VR represents that unexpected, captivating pattern that once discovered, remains unforgettable.
SOPHIE JAMIESON
Sophie Jamieson doesn’t shy away from discomfort, or life’s ugly truths. The subjects of her songwriting are put to unflinching examination, often revealing aspects of the human character that most would rather turn away from. Her performances are inescapably intimate and intense, earning her supports for the likes of Father John Misty, Ezra Furman and Marika Hackman to name a few. Her debut album received widespread critical acclaim for its candid examination of the self-destructive urge, with high praise from the likes of Uncut, Mojo and The Financial Times. Her exceptional second LP, ‘I still want to share’ was released on Bella Union in January 2025.
CLOTH
Cloth are one of our favourite bands right now, with an amazing new album set to drop late April via Mogwai’s record label Rock Action Records. Shortlisted for the Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Award in 2023, Cloth have been championed by 6Music DJs Mary Anne Hobbs and Guy Garvey, and played live sessions for Marc Riley & Gideon Coe (6Music) and John Kennedy (Radio X). They have received critical acclaim from publications including The Guardian, Pitchfork, CLASH and Uncut, Their new album ‘Pink Silence’ features Owen Pallett, Adrian Utley (Portishead), and Stuart Braithwaite (Mogwai) contributing, and we can’t wait for them to join us playing cuts from it!
